Navigating the Economic Crisis Together at Temple Israel
In these difficult times, it seems particularly appropriate to renew our connections to one another. We know that all the members of our community lead busy lives and sometimes even a brief phone call can be difficult to accommodate. We will absolutely respect your wishes if you prefer not to be involved, but we hope that you will each take the time to accept a call, to "meet" a neighbor, share a story, and share your own skills and wisdom. It is a great blessing to belong to a community where we can come together to meet financial challenges and uncertainty about the future and not have to navigate unfamiliar waters alone.

"SPRING" INTO ACTION: NEXT STEPS ON THE ECONOMIC CRISIS
Please join us at a meeting on
Sunday, March 14th from 4 - 6:00 p.m.
The meeting is being co-sponsored by CONNECT@TI and Ohel Tzedek, two groups that have been on the forefront of Temple Israel’s response to the "Great Recession."
The purpose of the meeting is three-fold:
1) To recognize that the economic crisis is not the same kind of the crisis it was a year ago, but that there are many issues that still require action and are still affecting TI members, Beacon Academy families, as well as our economy and society at large.
2) To bring together a broad range of people from TI and Beacon Academy who have been active around the economic crisis over the last year - from CONNECT@TI and Ohel Tzedek - with others who want to get involved. We will celebrate past accomplishments, and think together about next steps, both caring for our community members and taking public action.
3) There will be five breakout groups, each representing an issue you may want to get involved in going forward. Please read the March TI Bulletin for details.
We hope you can join us so we can continue to build this important area of work at Temple Israel.
Please RSVP to Sue Misselbeck at 617-566-3960 x117
