Nanilo is a Minneapolis-based vocal duo singing 2-voice arrangements of Yiddish and Ladino folksongs. Vocalists and composers Sarah Larsson and Sarina Partridge jointly draw from over 15 years of studying Eastern European and Jewish folk traditions, and touring with Village Harmony, the Nightingale Trio, and Heartwood Trio. Nanilo infuses their interpretations of traditional music with a harmony sensibility rooted in and liberated from classical choral singing. Larsson and Partridge now dig into their own musical roots in European Jewish diaspora, exploring the ways that folksongs serve as vessels for real stories of women’s lived experience over generations. The duo has studied with master-singers including Michael Alpert, Ethel Raim, Flory Jagoda, Efim Chorny, Lisa Gutkin, and Josh Waletzky. (Say "NAH-nee-low”)

Zunroyz is a new trio project based in Somerville, Massachusetts, named after the sunflower fields of Eastern Europe, and the band's favorite flower! With Akiva Jacobs on bass and Max Rothman and Rebecca Mac on twin fiddles, Zunroyz plays an old style of klezmer music where strings are at the forefront. Zunroyz has a sweet and enveloping sound with an expansive sense of rhythm that inspires audiences to dance. Musicians Rebecca Mac, Max Rothman, and Akiva Jacobs respectively have studied at KlezKanada, Berkeley College of Music, and Princeton University, and with master-teachers including Steven Greenman, Beth Bahia Cohen.
