Living Judaism isn’t confined to activities that happen within the walls of our synagogue. Sometimes our most spiritual experiences and our greatest connections take place outdoors.
Garden Shabbat
Join our clergy in the Temple Israel garden during the summer months for Qabbalat Shabbat services. Breathe in the fresh air as you breathe in Shabbat. Welcome this special day with song and prayer alongside your Temple Israel community as the sun sets over Boston.
ShaBike Shalom and Nature Walks
Looking to stretch your legs, explore Boston’s best trails, and share Shabbat with your Temple Israel community? Look out for more information about our Saturday afternoon bike rides and restorative walks.
Men’s Softball
In 2012, two Temple Israel congregants, Scott Elisofon and Laurence Bailen, created our Men’s Softball teams to play in the Men’s Shul Softball League, which is comprised of multiple teams from synagogues in the greater Boston area.
After a great 2016 softball season, TI Team 1 won the AAA championship of the Men’s Shul Softball League 8-5, in a close game vs. Temple Beth Avodah of Newton. The Kiddush Cup is proudly on display in the Temple Israel Atrium.
