On October 7, we woke up to a different world.

Hamas waged a terror attack on Israel, killing over 1,200 Israelis and taking more than 250 hostage — the greatest atrocities committed against Jews since the Holocaust. Today, over 100 hostages are still missing, including the bodies of those who died in captivity.

Amid ongoing heartache and devastation, CJP — alongside the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston, the Israeli-American Council (IAC), and synagogues and partners across Greater Boston — invites you and our entire community to commemorate the first anniversary of October 7 together.

The traumas of this past year have impacted each one of us differently and we don’t know what will unfold between now, October 7, and even beyond. But this evening will give us the opportunity to be with one another, and to grieve as a community.

The event will feature stories from those most directly affected on or by October 7, music to heal our souls, inspiring speakers to remind us of the resilient spirit of Israel and Israelis, and opportunities to mourn, honor survivors and heroes, and fill one another with strength and hope for our collective future.

Tickets are non-transferable and seating is general admission/first come, first served. IDs will be required to enter the event. You must register to get a ticket.

If you have any questions or need special accommodations, please contact CJP.
